Ugliness is worth a hundred thousand dollar discount. The Cayenne is nothing but an ugly Urus. Both cars are based on the same platform and share the same powertrain. They cost more or less similar to the Volkswagen-Porsche conglomerate to manufacture as well. But the Italian styling is able to command a massive premium. Beauty does not cost a dime but it can command a million dollar premium in price. On spec, both cars are quite evenly matched. Even in terms of size, the Lambo is hardly any bigger than the Porsche, but is perceived to be much bigger, because it has a huge impact on the onlookers. That's not an easy thing to achieve at all. No doubt that the Cayenne is more beautifully crafted, will be more reliable and way easier to maintain. But who the hell signed-off on its looks? That gaping front grille has to go, the attempt to square of those corners has been a disaster. It is okay if one model out of the entire Porsche range does not look like a nine-eleven. And if it has to, then hire the guy who took a Land Rover and made it look like a Jaguar, the F-Pace.
