BYD Shark vs Honda Ridgeline
BYD Shark Plug In Hybrid vs Honda Ridgeline Sport:
Honda needs to start copying BYD immediately, in some aspects. Just imagine, how good a plug-in Ridgeline would have been, with a thirty kilowatt-hour battery, with more than sixty miles, of pure-electric range. Pretty soon, Honda will have no choice, but to plug-in hybridize its Ridgeline, out of sheer desperation. And that's what Soichiro Honda would have wanted them to do. BYD has solved the puzzle of a perfect powertrain, in the age of lithium-ion batteries. Prior to the advent of lithium batteries, the Ridgeline's efficiency, reliability & refinement was, as-good-as-it-gets, for a non-hybrid pick-up. But now, its high time to make all Hondas, capable of utilizing, the energy available at everyone's home, electricity! Like it or not, the public charging infrastructure, is not going to be fast enough, seamless enough and convenient enough to run pure-EVs, for ten more years. Electric commuting and gasoline road trips are the best solution. What's mind blowing though, is the BYD's price, less than forty-six thousand dollars, in Mexico. More details in pinned comment.
