Nio ET9 vs Rolls Royce Spectre
Rolls Royce's cars have always been four times more expensive, than cars with similar size and performance. But when it comes to EVs, they are already in a dire need of upgrade, to their recently launched Spectre. The Spectre is already 60 percent worse, in some attributes, compared to the latest flagship from Chinese EV Manufacturer Nio! Spectre's charging speed, is less than one-third of the Nio ET9. The main culprit is Rolls Royce's 400 volt architecture, whereas, Tesla, Porsche and even Kia have EVs with 800 volt architecture launched in the market. The Nio ET9 is on another level, with its nine twenty five volt architecture. The real shame on Rolls Royce is that, even their battery being used in the Spectre, is quite outdated! Its a hundred and two kilo-watt-hour unit which weighs seven hundred kilograms, while Nio's unit has twenty percent more capacity in spite of weighing exactly half of that. But that's not all, the Roller is also less powerful than the Nio and hardly any bigger in terms of size as well. Lets not forget, the Nio ET9 gets steer-by-wire like the cybertruck with one turn lock-to-lock, while the Roller will require multiple twirls of steering to get around at low speeds.
