If Tesla can sell a massive truck, with similar performance and more range, than Porsche's Taycan, at half the price. It is high time that Porsche, must cut the Taycan's price by half, if they wish to survive in the electric car market, beyond 2024. Afterall, the Taycan has a thirty percent smaller battery than the Cyberbeast, is roughly fifteen percent smaller in terms of dimensions, and weighs thirty percent less than Tesla's monstrosity. Just because Porsche don't have control over their costs, does not mean they can get away with such exorbitant pricing much longer! Agreed, that the cybertruck is not a direct competitor to the Taycan in terms of segmentation, but as a reference for sheer value-for-money, the cybertruck is the most well-known yardstick today, for how much range and performance a hundred grand can buy. Stronger competition to the Taycan is already on its way, with capabilities like six-hundred kilo-watt charging, this is more than twice as fast as the Taycan, and a nine-hundred volt architecture recently unveiled by Nio, for its flagship, the ET9.
